Discourse in Democracy Common Experience Event Celebrates Mexican Culture

On October 23rd of 2015, the Department of Political Science, The Department of Sociology, and The School of Music collaborated in an interdisciplinary Discourse in Democracy event to celebrate Mexican culture, its society, and music. The event included performances by students from the School of Music and commentary from assorted faculty members. This event highlighted Mexico’s beautiful classical music and allowed students in the audience to learn about the importance of the relationship between Mexico’s art, culture, and society. This year the Common Experience theme is “Bridged Through Stories: Shared Heritage of the United States and Mexico, an Homage to Dr. Tomás Rivera.”
