Associate Professor of Political Science Dr. Ed Mihalkanin was re-elected to the San Marcos City Council on November 7, 2017. Dr. Mihalkanin has served on the city council from 1996-2000, 2001-2006 and since 2016. Dr. Mihalkanin also serves as president of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Museum of San Marcos. He joined the department in 1990.
