On Monday, December 5th, San Marcos’ Mayor John Thomaides visited Texas State and spoke to the students in Teaching Assistant Amy Perry’s Principles of American Government classes. He spoke about the local, non-partisan election process for mayor and what students may do to support the mayor and the city council. Mayor Thomaides also fielded questions about how students may become involved in local government.
