On Monday, March 1st, Tim Glassco, partner at the Cross Oak Group spoke to Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science Honor Society at Texas State about jobs in political consulting. He covered a wide variety of topics including what a political candidate needs to be successful in winning a campaign and how to be proactive during a job search. Additionally, e gave a brief biographical overview of his career including his time in the Obama administration and his continuing work as a lobbyist in Austin. He encouraged students to be on the lookout for any opportunities and stressed that developing relationships is a key factor in opening doors to new opportunities.
This event was part of the monthly chapter meetings for Pi Sigma Alpha, the Political Science Honor Society at Texas State, which is open to high achieving Political Science, Public Administration, and Legal Studies.
