On Saturday, February 19, 2022, Dr. Hassan Tajalli, Dr. Walter Wright, Dr. Thomas Varacalli, and Dr. Roger Abshire represented the Department of Political Science at Bobcat Day. They talked to over 100 high school students and parents about political science, public administration, and pre-law while distributing flyers on degree plans, internships, careers, courses, and law school placement. Dr. Varacalli, who helped organize the event, reported that “it was the most successful Bobcat Day since pre-COVID times” and that “students expressed great interest in [the political science] department.”
Bobcat Days are informational tours for high school students considering pursuing an undergraduate degree at Texas State. There are two Bobcat days per semester, with the next being held on Saturday, April 9th, 2022.
