MPA Lunch-and-Learn Series Hosts the Honorable Rudy Metayer

On Friday, September 16th, the MPA Lunch-and-Learn series hosted a member of the Pflugerville City Council, the Honorable Rudy Metayer. His presentation, entitled “The Road Less Travelled…And Better For It,” addressed the importance of mentors, a humble approach to personal development, and the significance of being exposed to different points of view, ideas, and life experiences. More than 20 students attended the talk. Attendee Henry Hayes “greatly appreciated” the talk and said that Metayer’s “demonstration of grit and resilience” was a “model for others, when they need an example of what determination can produce.”
