On Monday, April 10th, the MPA Lunch-and-Learn series hosted Judge Maame Frimpong, an attorney and judge who is currently serving as a judge of the United States District Court on the Central District of California. Prior to her appointment to the district court, Judge Frimpong also served as a judge of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, as vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of the Millennium Challenge Corporation and in various positions in the United States Department of Justice.
Her Lunch-and-Learn presentation covered topics like presidential leadership, her motivations for entering into public service, fairness, her formative experiences, her accomplishments and career highlights, and advice for anyone looking to go into the legal field.
The MPA Lunch-and-Learn series, which was launched in the Spring of 2021, features academics and practitioners as speakers to introduce new perspectives on the field to both undergraduate and graduate students.
