Dr. Walter Wright participated in an online international conference originating in Peru on August 16 and 18, 2023. The conference, entitled “Primer Congreso Internacional de Mediación y Conciliación: Veinticinco Años de Conciliación en Perú, celebrated the 25th anniversary of Peru’s concilitation law by inviting scholars and practitioners from around the world to discuss the status of mediation and conciliation in their countries.
Dr. Wright’s presentation on August 16, “La Ley de Procedimientos Alternativos de Resolución de Conflictos de Texas Después de 35 Años,” described the status of mediation in Texas at the 35th anniversary of the Texas Alternative Dispute Resolution Procedures Act. On August 18, he assisted the presentation of Elyse Salley, a Florida attorney and mediator who spoke about mediation in Florida, by interpreting her presentation from English to Spanish as she spoke.
