Twenty members attended the meeting, which opened with a quick health and safety informational session then proceeded to a discussion of upcoming events including SWIPS’ third annual “Women’s Political Leadership Summit” (3/28 from 12:30pm-4:30pm in THH 105), their involvement in Bobcat Build (4/5), and an upcoming capitol tour in April.

The meeting then transitioned to a lecture on Black Women in various areas of U.S. History. The women discussed included Harriet Tubman, Charlotte Forten, Mary Church Terrell, Elizabeth Keckley, Frances Ellen Watkins Harper, and many other figures.
