On February 9th, the Department of Political Science Discourse in Democracy hosted two seminars and a symposium on the Challenges to Democracy around the world. The Department welcomed panelists Dr. Terri Givens (from University of Texas), Dr. Ayesha Rey (from Kings College), Dr. Omar Sanchez (from Texas State University), and Dr. Laura Seay (from Colby College) to lend their expertise and help guide these discussions. For the evening symposium, nearly 300 Texas State students and faculty gathered in Alkek to listen to and discuss various challenges to democracy.
