Students from Dr. Gorman’s International Law class litigate the Falkland Islands dispute between Argentina and the United Kingdom in the Political Science Department’s Moot Courtroom. Judges Collin Magers, Olivia Catalano, Josh Hinojosa, Marcus Verngren and Tasha Zand receive arguments from the Argentina legal team of Liz Riley, Samantha Paul, and Kelli Kennedy and the UK legal team composed of Bre Boss, Gemma Parmar and Gus Chavez. In upcoming class meetings, students will litigate cases involving the International Criminal Court Prosecutor’s indictment of President Bashir of Sudan on charges of genocide and war crimes and try a ripening dispute between Bolivia and Chile over Bolivia’s access to the Pacific Ocean.
