On Wednesday, August 16th, the Department of Political Science joined other departments from the College of Liberal Arts at an event in the quad. Free waters and ice pops were distributed to the students. The POSI table included information on the department’s academic programs, student groups, and co-curricular activities, as well as free departmental caps and lanyards for the attendees. It also provided them with the chance to meet faculty members and majors from the department and to learn about its various academic programs, student groups and upcoming events. The event was part of the University’s Bobcats Welcome Initiative.
Liam Trapane, a graduate student who attended the event, commented that the event made possible “many, many, conversations about the paths each student can take in the major.”
