On Wednesday Feb. 17, the Public Administration Program co-hosted an international webinar with representatives from Bogota, London, and Rome to better understand how streets can be reimagined to improve safety, public health, and livability during the pandemic. The panelists were David Uniman, Vital Neighborhoods/Green Corridors Advisor, City of Bogotá, Lucy Saunders, Director of Healthy Streets, London, and Francesco Iacorossi, Project Manager, City of Rome. They discussed the challenges and successes in using streets in their cities to address the pandemic and shared insights into their city’s mobility measures delivered in response to the COVID pandemic. The webinar brought over 100 attendees from all over the world into the conversation.
Overall, the event provided an excellent platform for sharing ideas and was very engaging. The panel was recorded and is now available at https://vimeo.com/513488624/776d491741.
