On March 30, 2021, the Department of Political Science hosted a panel of four Bobcat alumni to talk about their experiences in law school. Breanta Boss (M.A., TXST ’18) of SMU Dedman School of Law, Morgan Morrow (B.A., TXST ’18) of University of Houston Law, Angela Estrada (B.A., TXST ’17) of Texas Tech School of Law, and Atticus Finch (B.A., TXST ’19) of the University of Texas School of Law discussed a variety of topics. Some fifty students attended the event as the alumni reviewed the application process and provided tips about the LSAT. They outlined the law school curriculum, addressed how COVID affected their studies, and discussed how they are preparing for the bar exam and their future careers.
Ava Stuart, an undergraduate in poli sci, noted she found “it helpful to hear about others who are completing and at different stages in their law school journey,” saying that the event helped her to be “more confident after this event because it brought me one step closer to familiarizing myself with the language and steps I must take to get into and complete law school.”
