On Sunday, June 21st, CNN White House Correspondent John Harwood published an article entitled “Why Trump is already sowing doubts about November’s vote”, in which he traces the history of opinion on mail-in ballots. In his finding that opinion on mail-in ballots varies based on whom it benefits, Harwood cites Dr. Inbody saying, “Support for absentee voting has always been contingent on which political party thought it would advantage them … the Republicans have presumed that mail-in voting will negatively affect their candidates. It’s clear.”
Dr. Don Inbody is a retired Captain in the Navy and has taught at Texas State for over ten years. His specialization is in American political thought and voting.
